Preparation

  • Chop the sun dried tomatoes into small pieces.
  • Mince the garlic using a cutting board.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine the chopped sun dried tomatoes and minced garlic.
  • Gradually stir in the olive oil until well incorporated.
  • Add the fresh basil and lemon juice to the bowl, mixing everything together well.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and optionally drizzle olive oil on top and garnish with a sprig of basil.

Notes

Let the dip sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to develop. It can be made a day in advance and keeps in the fridge for 4-5 days, getting better with time.
