Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening the sauce)
  • 1 tbsp green onions (for garnish, optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides of the ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Place the ribs on the wire rack and cover with foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
  • While the ribs bake, prepare the honey garlic sauce: Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and vinegar in a saucepan.
  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch and cook until glossy.
  • Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) or preheat the broiler. Return the ribs to the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes, basting with sauce once or twice.
  • Allow the ribs to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds, if desired.
