1tspcornstarch (optional, for thickening the sauce)
1tbspgreen onions (for garnish, optional)
1tbspsesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season both sides of the ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Place the ribs on the wire rack and cover with foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
While the ribs bake, prepare the honey garlic sauce: Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and vinegar in a saucepan.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch and cook until glossy.
Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) or preheat the broiler. Return the ribs to the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes, basting with sauce once or twice.
Allow the ribs to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds, if desired.
