Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Measure and prepare all ingredients, ensuring kefir and eggs are at room temperature and butter is melted.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the kefir, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined. Avoid overmixing.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely in the pan before frosting.

Notes

Add a chocolate twist by incorporating ¼ cup of cocoa powder for a rich chocolate kefir sheet cake.
