Ingredients
  

Pasta and Base

  • 8 oz Barilla Protein Plus Elbow Pasta High-protein and higher-fiber pasta
  • 1 cup Non-fat milk For the sauce

Cheese and Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cottage cheese Adds creaminess and extra protein
  • 1 scoop Unflavored protein powder Increases protein content
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded For flavor and creaminess
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch Helps thicken the sauce

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of salted water.
  • Cook the pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Making the Sauce

  • In a blender, mix cottage cheese, non-fat milk, sharp cheddar, protein powder, and cornstarch.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.

Combining and Heating

  • Drain the cooked pasta and return it to the pot.
  • Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta and stir well.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring often, for about 5 minutes until sauce thickens.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, optionally garnished with fresh parsley or a bit of cayenne pepper.

Notes

Feel free to customize with proteins like chicken or shrimp, and add vegetables like broccoli or spinach for extra nutrition.
