Ingredients
  

Chicken Filling

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, finely diced Lean protein that cooks quickly. Look for organic chicken for better flavor.
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce Adds depth and umami to the filling.

Slaw

  • 1 bag coleslaw mix (397g) Brings crunch and freshness.
  • 4 pieces green onions, thinly sliced Adds bright flavor.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil Adds flavor to the slaw.
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar Provides tanginess.
  • 1 tbsp honey Balances the tang in the slaw.

Wontons and Serving

  • 16 pieces wonton wrappers Quick to prepare and versatile.
  • cooking spray or olive/canola oil for baking To crisp the wonton cups.
  • to taste sweet chili sauce, to serve Finishes off the tacos.
  • to taste chopped cilantro, to serve For freshness.
  • to taste sesame seeds, to serve Final touch for texture and crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, and cook until the chicken is fully cooked through.

Making the Slaw

  • In a bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, green onions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and honey. Toss well to combine.

Shaping and Baking Wontons

  • Lay the wonton wrappers in the muffin tin, pressing down to shape them into cups. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  • Bake the wonton wrappers for 8-10 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Assembling and Serving

  • Fill each wonton cup with the cooked chicken mixture, then top with the Asian slaw.
  • Drizzle with sweet chili sauce and garnish with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds. Serve warm.

Notes

Let cooked chicken cool before stuffing into wonton cups to prevent sogginess. Customize slaw with other veggies if desired.
